About the event
Session One: Hand-Building – May 10, 12:00–2:30pm
In Part One, students will create their own planter and wavy drip tray using slab-building techniques and a few creative touches. This first session is required and will guide everyone through shaping and designing their pieces from start to finish.
As an added bonus, we’ll also be hosting a Propagation Trade! Students are encouraged to bring a clipping from a plant they love to swap and share with fellow classmates.
No prior experience needed. Just bring your creativity and something to trade!
Optional Session Two: Glazing Session – May 24, 12:00–2:30pm
After your piece is bisque fired, you're invited back on May 24 for a glazing session. During this time, you'll decorate your planter and tray using a variety of glaze colors. We'll guide you through the process, so no experience is needed. This step adds the final color and personality to your work, and is a fun way to complete the full ceramic process!
Can’t Make Session Two?
No problem! If you’re unable to attend Day Two, you can choose a glaze during the first session, and we’ll finish your piece for you. All finished work will be ready for pickup 2 weeks after the second session.
