Hand-Built Ceramic Travel Mugs Workshop

Take your morning coffee to go in a vessel that is uniquely yours! Join instructor Desiree O’Toole for a creative, hands-on workshop where you will design and construct your own ceramic travel mug from scratch.

In this two-hour session, students will learn the art of slab construction, a versatile hand-building technique perfect for creating functional forms. You’ll have the opportunity to personalize your mug by rolling out custom textures and intricate patterns directly into the clay, ensuring your piece is truly one-of-a-kind.  

What to Expect

• Create: Build a functional ceramic travel mug using professional hand-building techniques.

• Design: Use a variety of tools to emboss textures and patterns into your clay.

• Glaze: At the end of the session, you will select your favorite glaze from our studio palette to finish your piece.

• Skill Level: All levels welcome (no prior pottery experience required!)

• Materials: All clay, tools, glazes, and firing fees are included in the workshop price.

• Pick-up: Your finished mugs will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup within 3–4 weeks after the workshop.
