About the event
Join instructor Don Shuler for a two-day workshop focused on building a wheel-thrown teapot. This class is designed to help intermediate potters who have basic wheel-throwing experience. You’ll spend time on the wheel shaping the body, spout, and lid, and then learn how to fit them all together into one functional piece.
Workshop Details
● Day 1 April 18th: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM - Throwing the components.
● Day 2 April 19th: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM - Assembly and finishing.
● Skill Level: Intermediate (Must have basic wheel throwing experience)
● Materials: Each student receives 10 lbs of white stoneware to create their piece.
Firing & Finishing
● Pick-up: Potters are welcome to pick up their teapots after the bisque firing.
● Optional Glazing: For those who wish to finish their work in-studio, an optional glazing day will be available (details to be provided in class)
